iphone sync with new mac
#1
A friend of mine just ordered a new (old G4 ibook). This is to replace his G4 tower whose hard drive...expired. All his "stuff" is on his iphone though. So how does he get it onto his new ibook? Won't the new computer try to erase the iphone? Or is that in the old days?

What stuff? I assume you mean data which he can just copy the files to the iBook. If it's his iTunes stuff, then he should de-authorize his tower and then iTunes on the iBook will take all his stuff. He will have to boot his tower from another drive to de-authorize it or call Apple who can de-authorize all his computers.

By stuff I mean all the stuff one has on an iphone/ipod. Apps or music or whatever. How does you de-authorize a computer with a fried hard drive? Aside from calling Apple.
