This is one reason why I never got a Mini as my home server.

If you're just going to use it as a server, you have no need for a dedicated keyboard and mouse.

Pay attention.

Some... because Jobs says a lot of lies/misdirection, too. Like
"No one want to watch video on a tiny screen"
"No one wants internet lite" (flash)
We need to make a compelling reason for people to come (over to) the Mac. -[paraphrased] He meant, the iPod was intended on being Mac-ONLY and as such people would desire to buy a Mac. Even Mac FIRST or Mac BETTER would be an improvement on the current parity situation with Windows. If Apple would release iOS devices to work for 3 months first on Mac, then release it for Windows, it would be GREAT. So much for that promise, too. Smile

I just realized after a bit of research that Mac minis do not ship with a mouse - am having a hard time believing that Apple ships a desktop machine without a mouse!

What were you in for, and where'd you you do your time?

Having bought a Mini in July, it is on the border of "is too expensive?"

As I was replacing my G5 tower, I had two monitors, a keyboard and mouse. Plus, in July, the lower end iMacs were simply lacking.

Had the current low end iMacs been out, I think the equation would have shifted towards the iMac with it's iCore processor and dedicated video.

With that being said, my new Mini is a great computer. Quiet, drives both my monitors, and seems really fast since I maxed the ram.
