Holy sh*t - saw someone not just talking on a cellphone during the evening commute, but...

also writing down notes - on the notepad she had placed on the steering wheel hub. So - left hand holds cellphone to ear, right hand holds notepad to steering wheel/writes down Very Important Information.

So - what part of her brain & body actually tends to, oh I don't know, maybe DRIVING - you know, controlling that ton of metal moving at 70 miles per hour?

On a related note, found out that a friend-of-a-friend was killed recently when a driver of a F350 "lost control and "allowed his vehicle to veer into opposing eastbound lanes of traffic.""
People treat driving like sitting down in a comfy chair at home...

She's relying on that new "automatic" braking system to stop her before she kills someone.

add to that list (morning commute chapter):

-putting on makeup (looking in the visor mirror and applying some eyelash makeup)

-shaving (one hand one the electric shaver, and looking in the visor mirror)

-eating breakfast (milk and cereal, bowl in one hand, spoon in the other hand)

yes, I saw these, while the car was MOVING!

That's nothing. How about this idiot reading his Kindle while driving a bus in Oregon:

People are rarely prosecuted for such negligence, even when people are killed.

I like to pull up next to people like that and lay into my horn. Their startled looks and dropped phones are funny.

I saw a woman flossing her teeth the other day.

Sometimes I wish I could get them to pull over and cuss them out for being terminally idiotic.

Me too. I laughed so hard I nearly dropped my donut into my coffee.

Knee driving SDGuy. Knees can steer. Then with Don laying in on the horn, I can't get any work done.
