The Plans For Steve Jobs' New House
#1
From Gizmodo

...it appears the 1920s Woodside mansion Jobs bought in 1984 will finally have its date with the bulldozers.
...
The house that currently occupies Steve's lot, the (now dilapidated) Spanish Colonial Revival home designed for copper baron Daniel Jackling, contains 30 rooms, 14 bedrooms and 13 1/2 bathrooms.
...
Jobs intends to populate the 6 acres with an assortment of indigenous flora; a simple three-car garage; a modest 5 bedroom home with plenty of windows and decks; a network of lighted stone walkways; and even a private vegetable garden.

Interesting, as opposed to a recent Forbes article which claims The Leader's house is more Marxist inspired.

I'll prefer Gizmodo's approach. The Forbes dude doesn't read The Leader's gestalt.

My goodness but that was an idiotic piece of drivel. I suppose it makes sense, coming from Forbes, where there's a Marxist lurking under every bed. This quote: "The result was a design language that made a show of forcing form to follow function." tells me he doesn't have the slightest clue about design in general or the Bauhaus in particular.

Compared to what it's replacing? Absolutely!
