You can't even do a simple SAVE AS in iMovie 08/09. What a piece of crappy software...it doesn't conform to Mac interfaces from 1996! If my internal HD is nearly full and I want to import video to a second internal HD, you can't do it easily (unless I'm missing something). Google has found several work arounds (i.e. drag an imported file into the second HD, but what if I have very little HD space and I have a large import?).
iLeader ought to fire some people in the iMovie app section...go back to basics.

Oh man...it is so counter-intuitive that I can't believe Apple created this POS. There is a little button at the top left of the iMovie window called Project Library. You can create a new library on the second internal HD.
What a piece of crap coding is this? How hard is it to SAVE AS new project library onto the second hard drive via Apple's GUI????

Oh, and Wowzer, I agree. Apple appears to be trying to build for the lowest common denominator. I get confused in iMovie, but I can find my way around Final Cut just fine.

I spent a few minutes with iphoto 11 the other day. Jesus, does anyone who worked on the original versions still code there?

I was thinking of picking up iLife 11 on Black Friday. Should I not?

If you can snag a copy of iMovie 6, you'll be a happy pappy.

I still use iMovie HD (version 6) after trying my best to get the hang of the later version, which truly sucks.
Steve made the latest version look absolutely wonderful during the presentation of iLife 11 but I'm not buying in to his BS regarding Apple software ever again.

What a bizarre thread. Wait---here's something: So I'm installing Nero 9 Do It All or some such thing and deselect one item, clicked the Next button and proceed with it. It finishes.
Nothing installed. Apparently there was another "select selected items" (paraphrasing, but that's the gist) button to click before hitting Next. Although you might have expected it to earlier say, "hey, you didn't actually select anything ..." it hadn't happened. Good times.
