Iphone refusing to export to iPhoto ? Arargh... Windows XP to the Rescue !
#1
After three attempts with the Macbook and Snow Leopard and iPhoto 9.whatever... I gave up.

And at work I plugged the iPhone into the XP system to charge it, it offered to open up the Microsoft Camera adapter. And happily uploaded all 509 photos and videos from last weekend's NYC trip. So.. now I'll just take the photos across on a flash drive, I guess. Weird. Very weird.

Why is that ? Because I was using HDR to take higher DPI photos ?

Try using the included Mac app "Image Capture." I use it instead of iPhoto to get the photos off of my iPhone.

I had a similar issue. Image capture didn't work. Lightroom, which can normally import from iPhone, couldn't. ImageIngester, a pro importing application that has done so in the past, couldn't. Restarted multiple times over several days. I eventually connected via ssh and went directly to the file structure of the iPhone and copied the jpg files to my desktop. This was on 10.7.2. Maybe I should have tried XP...

Just to be clear: You should have rebooted the phone.

I had a similar issue and posted here recently.

One of the suggested problems which i think caused mine was I had added photos to my library from emails on the phone. I think if any pics that were saved off of an email to the phones library are deleted, it should clear up the problem.

Good luck.
