Thinking about Otakon...Too late?
#1
Two of us are thinking about attending Otakon the end of this month in Baltimore, MD at the Baltimore Convention Center. Before we schedule time off from work, what are our chances for snagging a walking-distance hotel room this late in the game? Any recommendations?

Dunno the answer, but my daughter is going! If you see a girl dressed as a character from "Cats" ask if she's Pam's daughter Smile Btw, her costume and make up is superb. Not sure what other costumes she's taking.

Had to Google Otakon; never heard of it before (Anime / Japanese type cartoon stuff).

So $147 a day per person plus food and so forth Smile

Just crash a party room with some other kids; could save you a lot of money.

Penn Station >> Light Rail to BWI >> Free Shuttle to Airport Hotels
Light Rail from BWI >> Convention Center
Hotels near BWI are a much better deal & usually easy to get a rez.

A day pass for Light Rail is $3.50 & also covers fares for buses and subway {a single line boondoggle that runs 15 miles from Hopkins Hospital to the the suburb of Owings Mills in the northwest area of Baltimore County}.
