Somebody has to take these protestors to court. They are violating dozens and dozens of city ordnances every day and have created health hazard. They are going into local businesses and use their bathrooms for washing up and all sorts of unsavory things. I hate to be a business in that neighborhood. So much for creating jobs.

"The descent of property of every kind therefore to all the children, or to all the brothers and sisters, or other relations in equal degree is a politic measure, and a practicable one. Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise. Whenever there is in any country, uncultivated lands and unemployed poor, it is clear that the laws of property have been so far extended as to violate natural right."

Cool! I hadn't seen that quote by Jefferson before (at least not that I recall).

Damn commie.
The Constitutional Convention worked hard to avoid establishing a hereditary aristocracy. Today, the concentration of wealth, and the concurrent manipulation of the system to keep that wealth among the same set of players while deliberately suppressing the financial power of the non-wealthy is in effect defacto hereditary aristocracy.
And here's Jefferson, recognizing the threat and explaining how to prevent this 200 years ago.

All the Property that is necessary to a Man, for the Conservation of the Individual and the Propagation of the Species, is his natural Right, which none can justly deprive him of: But all Property superfluous to such purposes is the Property of the Publick, who, by their Laws, have created it, and who may therefore by other Laws dispose of it, whenever the Welfare of the Publick shall demand such Disposition."

Only about a hundred left in downtown Atlanta park, and authorities have been easy on them, even though the park has a closing time. But they have been telling them that it is time to get out for various reasons.
They have pitched tents, violate park laws, and are supposedly affecting business and traffic.
The biggest issue, I see is, at least here, there is no real organization, many different causes, and they interview the looniest on TV. But I think demonstrating is a good idea.

Wouldn't be much of a protest if they were tidy, impeccably dressed, and went home for dinner at 5 pm.

Really? Tea partiers were all that and took the House back with room to spare without spewing filth everywhere.
