"I was against a National Sales Tax before I was for it"
#1
Oy...I do kind of wish that Cain WAS going to be the Republican nominee.

THEN

"The worst idea is a proposed national sales tax, which is a disguised VAT (value added tax) on top of everything we already pay in federal taxes."

NOW
"National Sales Tax – 9%"

And for more fun....as late as March 2008...we don't got no stinkin' recession!

“The media’s factually unsubstantiated claims of an impending recession have been going on for over a year now,” he wrote. “Many news journalists hurt people’s outlook about the economy with inappropriate comparisons and sensationalism.”

(Of course the country had been in a recession since at least December of 2007)

And "what impending banking crisis?"

..."nor the mainstream media's it's-not-a-crisis-but-we-are-going-to-make-it-look-like-one banking crisis."

(Hmmm..wonder what happened two months from then?)

It's going to be a little sad to have to "settle" for the Mitt.

Interesting. Let him explain it. There are a lot of people who have trouble with that third 9 too. I suspect he says his plan is a replacement tax, as he indicated in the linked article, and should be judged in relation to the other two 9s. Problem with your thread, like all threads here, is that you are not really interested in a debate. You just want to come out and say na nana na nanana.
