71 degrees in Chicago right now

Amazing weather. Still no frost. So many days this year on which I've thought "this is the most beautiful day of the year," and they keep on coming. That is all.

71 is a bit too warm for cycling IMO but I'll see what I can do.

The sunset time is hampering my teams soccer practice. It said 72 on my thermometer on my way to the bar. It just started raining & lightning in the western burbs.

I totally agree, Black. Several times within the last week or so, driving west at dusk, I was really overwhelmed at the "perfectness" of the evening.

Perhaps a cruel set-up for what will surely follow. Or maybe it's just that we Chicago folks know how to appreciate the good weather when it happens.

we had some of that here. but it ended last week.

you know those days when you say to yourself, " I can't *feel* any weather." it's just existing in complete stasis with the atmosphere at that moment in time.

30 degrees and receiving 25 inches of snow. But then again, what are the rockies for?

It was 80 in/near Denver yesterday and snowing today.

I'm still picking zucchini.
Everything else the deer, turkeys and squirrels have ruined.
It's hunting season and anyone is welcome to come sit in tree or whatever and try to bag one (preferrably all).

That pretty well describes the way it was here earlier today. Oddly still, "room temperature", but a hint of moist freshness on the air.
