Classroom Printer Recommendation?
#1
I currently have an HP Color Laser 3600N in my classroom with somewhere around 50,000 cycles on it.

Currently it needs:

4 new toners ($600 because my District has a set vendor)
Transfer belt replaced
Fuser replaced

It seems like it is more likely time to replace.

• Must be ethernet capable so we can share with 30 iPads or natively Airprint capable
• Cheap to operate at around 2000 pages per month
• Color is a big plus but not an absolute deal breaker

Something needs to happen fast...ideas?

Used HP 4500 to 5500... not color but cheap, built like a tank and generic toner is $35 for 7000 pages.
I have one in my classroom, the media center has three.

I'm not using it for a classroom per se, but I very much like my Samsung: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-CLP-620N...P_Printers&hash=item43b1e3307f

Quiet, nice color, refillable toners, and it's one of the few lasers (color or black and white) that doesn't mangle my envelopes when I print them.

I like that idea Peter. I had a Samsung CLP310 at home for several years and really liked it...victim of lightning.
