Help exporting quicktime from Flash Cs4
#1
it just won't work and I need to bring an animation built in Flash cs4 into imovie. Is there a way to export or convert a .fla or .swf to quicktime? I can't find a way.

File > Export Movie

Choose Quicktime from the type.

Is that what's not working for you?

i did and it just doesn't render. I goes fast and the result is a .mov that is a still image. I really need to do this short of a screen capture.

Is your Flash movie nested in a big movie clip, or a sequential series of frames?

If nested, that could be the problem.

You could use handbrake.

if you were put on the street and told to export a flash cs4 file as quicktime. not allowed to lean on friends. just the rushing crowd. could you do it. and how.

i figured it out. i do have embedded clips, but that wasn't the problem. need to have a stop action at the end or define a time duration.

my error. should have noticed that. works fine now.

Glad you got it.
You can usually export fine without a stop at the end. I'm not sure why that was an issue with yours.

well i guess the stop action doesn't work for me with embedded clips, but setting the duration does. might be missing something on the former though.
