Straight Talk, a division of Tracfone, will start selling SIM cards in a few days, both regular size and micro, that will work with locked AT&T iPhones. The plan cost will be $45 per month for unlimited talk, text, and data, and the SIM card will cost $15. There is a speculation, over at Howard Forums, that either the data will be throttled or somehow capped after a certain usage, probably 2Gb or 5GB, but it should be faster that the TMobile speeds for iPhones.

My parents are currently on t-mobile but out of contract with old flip phones. My mom wants to get a new phone to start being able to text. This might be a good deal for them, assuming they can port their phone number over.

Then again, that is a good deal for me also if I can use my iPhone. I'm under contract for another year, but my wife is out of contract on her phone.

Awesome options in the future. If you like your iPhone4S, then migrate away from AT&T after contract expires.
