House of Reps decides they shouldn't allow Insider Trading... by Reps and their staff.

"(WASHINGTON) — The House passed a bill banning Congress and executive branch officials from insider trading, but brushed aside a provision aimed at reining in those who pry financial information from Congress and sell it to investment firms."

While it's not surprising, reading that US Congresscritters have been enriching themselves for the exact actions for which other Americans are jailed (Hi Martha !) is still nauseating in the extreme.

And this 'exception' ? Blech.

Don't try to get between a Republican house and its ill-gotten gains!

The Senate version, which included a requirement for the financial-intelligence gatherers to register so representatives and staff would know to whom they are speaking, passed overwhelmingly. There is still a chance to get some kind of registration requirement included in the bill.

By the way? The folks who took it out of the House side bill are the House leadership, Boehner and Cantor.
