That's the expected and final stage. It's highly unlikely that the court will reinstate the conviction. The prosecution cannot present any new evidence; it's not a new trial, just another judicial review of the last process. The defense won that one, overwhelmingly.

I had to Google to remember who she was. I fail to "get" the fascination with murder cases. It's so one-hundred-years-ago.

She is, no doubt. But she won't be extradited back to Italy, even if the court did the unexpected and reinstated the conviction (something Italian courts very rarely do anyway.)
