New Logitech AirPLay Speaker Released
#1
MSRP $400 (ouch) but looks nice.
Pros:
If it's anything like other recent Logitech audio products, the audio quality will be great
Looks classy, controls appear upscale, not chintzy
Cool retractable charging/docking feature
AirPlay

Cons:
No FM tuner
No rechargeable (or otherwise) option

For $400, FM and rechargeable ought to be there. Tragic fail for me on that. I suspect they'll release a portable tuner with these options later this year. If they don't, they are insane.

Well that makes $69 for a refurb Airport Express + $99 for Bose speakers seem like a great deal.

What's an "FM tuner"? One of those things from the 1970s?

Unless it has a turntable that plays my Glen Miller and Doris Day albums, it's an epic fail for me.

guitarist brings up a good point. If you're marketing speakers whose main selling point is that you can wirelessly stream from your iDevice, why would you even want an FM tuner on it?

I still listen to the radio a lot. OTA quality is often better than internet streaming. I prefer my playback devices to have both options.

Microsoft would probably make a device like that
