So I bid on and win this auction for a lens:

I get the lens and it is in absolutely perfect condition. Actually, aside from the box being opened it looks like it has never been out of the box, everything and all accessories still packed as original. I would have certainly talked it up more if I was the seller. But here is the weird part. Also packed in the shipping box is a Sony Alpha 100 DSLR in similar still in box like new condition. And there is a note that says "thanks for buying the lens, please accept this camera as a thank you gift." They also say how much they liked using the lens and how the bokeh was great, etc. But it looks like it was never on a camera. The camera in this condition is getting $250+ on ebay. Not complaining but this is weird.
