Opening Old Notepad Files
#1
I have a bunch of old Classic Notepad files that I want to access. Anyone know how?

Windows Notepad? Should be .txt? Old Mac files? add a ".txt" extension, should open right up.

You can also try TextWrangler on the mac, a great little app that can handle just about any text file format:

Adding .txt extension, trying TextWrangler both deliver the same message (with no test):

This Note Pad File was created with Note Pad 7.5 or newer. Please use a newer version of the Note Pad to access the notes.

I'm a little frustrated. This is created by that old Classic Mac app (or was it a desk accessory?). You'd think something would open it.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a Mac that will run Classic. I knew that would bite me in the ass sooner or later.
