I'll miss the Hostess Fruit pies.

Apple and lemon were my favorite. Used to be 15¢, maybe 10¢ before that.

It seems every Hostess thread ends up with the same discussion.
So I guess I'll contribute by saying that Tasty Kakke is way better than Hostess...

When I was a kid in Sea Scouts, the Hostess outlet store was about 2 blocks from the Sea Scout base. Day old fruit pies were a dime, or 12 for a buck. Darn good thing we walked a long way to and from the base during the summer. The walk just about canceled out the copious quantities of carbs.

I remember having one of those near where I lived as a kid, too.

I liked these frozen but it's been years since I've had one. Maybe I should buy one this weekend before they are gone. Sounds like a line from that zombie movie doesn't it?

Suzi Q's were big around here as well.

Big crowds at the Hostess outlets in my area. Bet some are thinking of ebay profits.

I remember sending in bunches of Hostess pie wrappers to get Beatles 45RPM singles records shortly after the Beatles invaded the USA...

my earliest memory of cafeteria trash can diving.
