Adobe CS2 Premium Plus giveaway for PC & Mac (Creative Suite 2 /Photoshop CS2 / Photoshop Elements 4.0/5.0 / Acrobat Pro
#31
Just wish I could figure out which version of InDesign I have at work... It's part of the "CS" bundle, but even on the CD case, it doesn't say WHICH CS version! It's getting long in the tooth, so I'm guessing either the original CS, or CS 2...

I got the installers downloading at work before I left... so tomorrow I'll see if I have the same version, or an earlier one.

Many thanks for the links!

right -- the first CS was just called CS.

But to make it worse, if you get-info on the individual apps, they have a different version number yet...

iLife - individual apps, same situation. Some things never change.

In response to the unexpected pirating, the company will now verify that users have existing CS2 licenses when downloaders attempt to create an Adobe account to download the software. However, pirated versions of the activation-less versions will likely have gone viral in the interim.

gee, ya think?

FWIW, Acrobat 8 Pro downloaded and installed and ran with no problems--didn't have to "register as a member". Also, it doesn't seem to be running under Rosetta--shows up as "Intel" in Application Monitor.

I just spent some time on getting the CS2 Suite installed. No glitches with activation. Hope some sort of activation request doesn't crop up later. Happy to have Acrobat Pro 8 (I think), although 7 was still working OK.

What's really bizarre about electronista's wording there is that software Adobe freely gave away is being characterized as "pirating." No wonder it's therefore "unexpected."

Has anyone seen a formal request from Adobe to not use the licenses that went viral? I actually downloaded through my Adobe ID so they know what I downloaded and that I skipped CS2 in my Adobe purchase hisotry. I just wanted Acrobat Pro 8 and Elements some older machines, but from some of the rumblings at the Adobe support pages and other Blogs it seems that they do consider it pirating without prior purchase of CS2 or the original titles of the same vintage.
