If you can eat frozen pizza, make sure the oven accepts the size you like to cook - some are too small for a regular sized pizza.
SMALL toaster oven recommendations?

I have a Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven I've had for several years now and, am very happy with it. I have a number of Cuisinart kitchen appliances. They all seem to be well designed and built. Its a little wider than you're looking for but the extra convection feature might make it worth a look. Cuisinart's regular TOB (Toaster Oven Broiler) would be narrower as it doesn't have the convection fan.

I have a SS Oster with convection heating that I got from Costco. I like it a lot. The only thing is, since I mostly use it on the broil setting, the upper heating elements ave severely deformed. It is still works fine, but I don't know if this will shorten its lifespan.
This is similar, if not identical to mine. I paid around $50 and it s showing at $55 now. http://www2.costco.com/Browse/Product.as...d=11894584&whse=BD_563&Ne=5000001%204000000&eCat=BD_563%7C11113%7C11183&N=4036338%204294910475&Mo=0&No=0&Nr=P_CatalogName:BD_563&Ns=P_Price%7C1%7C%7CP_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&topnav=national ![]() Whippet, Whippet Good

Toaster ovens are awesome for cooking small amounts of food quickly. You can cook fish, chicken and even cookies in one. You can forgo using the oven which uses more electricity and takes longer to warm up.
I have the old version of the Panasonic NB-G110P and I love it. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-NB-G110P...ome-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1360168421&sr=1-1&keywords=infrared+toaster+oven ![]() My brother and mother have the old version of the Black & Decker Infrawave Oven and they love theirs as well (christmas present from me). http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-FC300...pd_sim_k_2 ![]() Have fun. You won't regret getting one.

dmann,
I've owned a slew of Toaster Oven Broilers. My former models of choice were made by Black and Decker. I own one of the following: And I also own a Brevelle Smart Oven. The large model, not the compact version. The Black and Decker served me very well for toast, baking (corn bread, pizza, chicken breasts and cutlets, etc) and broiling (shrimp, chicken wings, etc). I definitely recommend the model in the link. We had an awesome oven in our old apartment and didn't need to use the B&D that often but, the convection oven worked well when we used it. However, it cannot under any circumstances compete with the Smart Oven. My wife and i recently moved and we hate the broiler in the oven in our new apartment. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! We bought the Brevelle Smart Oven primarily for broiling. However, it's such an amazing kitchen tool that we use it for regular cooking, too. I use it for baking, broiling, roasting, just heating stuff up. You name it. The Brevelle is expensive but absolutely unfrickenreal good! Use your 20% off coupon at Bed Bath and Beyond and the price drops to $200 plus tax. Some of the best money we've spent in years! We have the larger version of the Brevelle. I can't speak for the smaller version but if you have the counter space in your kitchen, I'd go for the large model. We use it just as much as our regular oven. The following 1/4 sheet jelly roll pan fits perfectly in the larger brevelle: This is our "go to" pan for baking in the Brevelle. Fits perfectly, works well and worth every penny. Great size to have even for use in a regular oven. FWIW, my wife and I rarely used the B&D for making toast. We used it for actual cooking and heating food up. We use the Brevelle nearly as much as our regular oven. It's that good. Robert

Speaking of small pans, I have a couple of these - http://www.amazon.com/Vollrath-5220-Alum...ome-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1360195438&sr=1-3 - and they're fantastic.

Our trusty old B&D started getting hot spots and one of the elements failed. One half of the bagel top burnt, the other soft. Mine was 10+ years old and was the old style that slid into an under cabinet bracket! A great feature, but I guess a few kitchens caught fire, and the lawyers put a stop to it.
My mother in law got me this for Christmas this year: http://www.target.com/p/kitchenaid-count...v_XSG10001&AFID=Google_PLA_df&LNM=%7C12807836&CPNG=Appliances&kpid=12807836&LID=PA&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=12807836 It is much bigger, but I have found it to be more useful. It is considered a mid size - and I actually went to ABT to check out the others and found some VERY large ones. We now use it more than our regular oven. My only complaint is that it takes a while to heat up, but retains heat more - so if you toast on a certain setting, you second batch will get overdone. You don't realize how critical your toaster oven is, until you have lost it! Good luck, JPK PS that fancy Panisonic had very good and very bad ratings. In the end, I couldnt justify the $$.

I still have my under cabinet mount in place just in case I can find another one.
