What an amazing amount of freak out over Swampy's post. You all couldn't just let it go by without jumping on the righteous indignation train. Congratulations on sounding exactly like right wing talk show callers when confronted with an opposing viewpoint. This place is beginning to acquire all the worst attributes of newspaper comments sections.

Agreed.

And I don't usually agree with $tevie...

Why does Salt Lake Jesus look like he flew in from Scandinavia? I thought the legend had him being born in the middle east.

Years ago, during my first visit to a Mormon Temple (the visitors center as I am an unclean Catholic unworthy of entrance into their Star Chamber), I was struck by one thing: how white Jesus Christ looked in all of their depictions.

Of course, this is from the church that until about 50 years ago, refused black people entry because they bore the mark of Satan (their skin color).

This guy got turned down for an acting job as Jesus because "he was too Jewish-looking."
