Morning after pill

A NY judge has ruled that girls of any age can obtain the morning after pill without prescription over the counter.

Any age? Most states have statutory rape laws for children under 16 sometimes 12 years of age. There are so many things wrong with this ruling. Parental notification? Required statutory rape investigation? Education about how to use the drug?

A girl can't even take an aspirin at school, but were to give her access to Plan-B pills?

She won't be able to take that pill at school either, if that's what your concern is.

If she is old enough to have had consensual sex, she is old enough to have access to the morning after pill, whatever her age is. She obviously didn't get parental consent to have sex, so why should she have parental consent to get a pill to prevent unwanted pregnancy?

Most states don't recognize consensual sex at the age of 12 which was the age of the girl in the judges case ruling. Most states see that as statutory rape.

What does that have to do with birth control? Why are you assuming that the father is 18+? Why does it matter?
