Another 4 year-old for freedom

It's a tough week for 4 year-old kids.
It appears that one of them accidentally shot a 6 year-old boy in the head. http://www.nj.com/ocean/index.ssf/2013/0...rt_m-rpt-1 If only the 6 year-old was armed, this tragedy may have been prevented.

A loose rifle in the house....with the mother home...kid was able to walk in, pick it up, walk out undetected with a RIFLE, and shoot another kid... There's your freedom to bear arms...well maintained militia...."pried outta my cold dead hands....blah blah blah

I think in all of those cases the adult owner of the gun should be charged with manslaughter and have a mandatory jail sentence.
Maybe that would wake some people up before they have to bury a child or someone the child shot.

Maybe there should be a "being irresponsible with a gun" law that, even if it didn't carry any jail time, would give the person a felony conviction if found guilty so at least they couldn't own any more guns.
