Hi,
Do either of these iOS Maps apps have a screen kinda like a built in GPS or standalone GPS that shows you as a little triangle driving through a sorta 3 dimensional map, *without* you having to input a destination?
I'm sure this feature has a name, but I can't figure out what it is.
What I'm talking about is the image on the left (from Nokia's Here Maps), but without having to put in an address or anything like that.

"3D" view....
Apple Maps has "3D" view (basically slants the map" (touch the "i" on the bottom right to change views)
Google maps does that if you touch the find/ compass rose icon on the lower right. Of course it also wants to google plus you.... :barf:

I'll have to try those again when I'm back in the car.
I thought I tried it yesterday and it only slightly slanted the map, but didn't show the big, zoomed in, blown up view like I illustrated with the Nokia Here map.

Your posting reminded me to check and sure enough, HERE Maps app is available in the app store. I plan to give it a try. I used HERE when I had a windows phone and I found it really nice. The download map option was particularly nice. I plan to give it a try and think I will end up using it instead of google or apple. My 2 cents.

Yeah, the whole topic got started for me b/c Here Maps on my iPhone has this feature but I couldn't find it on Apple Maps or Google Maps.
Here Maps is very nice.
