Snowboarder chases Moose
#1
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...abuse.html

"A young snowboarder in Montana was fined after his friend posted a video of him chasing a moose down a ski slope.
Charlie Rush, 21, of Flathead County, has to pay $250 to the Flathead National Forest Service for animal harassment.
His friend, Hunter Lamoureux, 15, unintentionally got Rush in trouble by posting the 52-second video of their extreme wildlife encounter at the Whitefish Mountain Resort to Facebook."

The dumb SOB is lucky Bullwinkle didn't just turn and squash him. Moose are gentle animals , but still weigh well over half a ton.

Exactly!

"Moose are gentle animals , but still weigh well over half a ton."

Usually, but it is not a good idea to crowd them.

"‘Look, the moose was in the middle of the run where it wasn't supposed to be and we were where we were supposed to be,’ Lamoureux wrote in a Facebook post."

Idiot!

I don't think you can call Moose gentle. People should give them a wide berth.

"Reports show that female moose are responsible for more deaths in Canada than any other animal including the grizzly! Moose have earned the title of most dangerous animal in Canada."

Yes, "gentle" issn't the word I'd use either. Cows with calves can be extremely dangerous. Bulls during the rut, also. Generally they just want you out of their space, and will warn you with their body language. I have seen them come from a distance to go after dogs though, as canines present a serious danger to their young. When I was the caretaker at the hot springs a sled dog team showed up without the sled and mushers, having broken loose after a moose attack.
