Last week's progress: 3 hours on weight lifting machines of various exercises on alternating days for upper body. My upper body work is shifting from the machines to free weights including dumbbell fly and other dumbbell work. 2 hours on two separate days for leg work including lunges with dumbbells.

Next week's goal: I am pretty happy with the current setup so I hope to continue.

The game with the US Marines :patriot: was a mixed bag. It consisted of me, some civilians and 6 US Marines:patriot: . I think I held my own. I caught 2 TD but drop one that could have been a TD. A classic case of running before I had the ball. My defense wasn't as sharp as I let 2 TD passes get past me as I almost intercepted the ball but was just a half a step off. I had 2 drives as the QB and while I can chuck the ball decent distances but one drive ended in INT and turnover on downs. I hope to do better next time. I am still sore from trying to keep up with those Marines :patriot: but it is an honor to share the field with those who defend the USA.

After being out with bronchitis for three weeks, I managed to get back to a sub-30 minute 5k on the treadmill in just a week.

Ready to start the 2014 race season!

I'm still on the treadmill, often for six but occasionally ten hours except when it snows and the following day (when I get about three hours.). Trying to knock off a few more pounds before I work my other muscles.

Next time you play the Marines you will have to let them use both arms.

Keep at I Speedy. BTW, it is not fair to let them use one arm.

I went walking yesterday - did 2.5 miles and also did lots of yard work on Sunday. I hope to start a more regular schedule as the weather gets better.
