Why doesn't amazon specify when a item ships from China?

I agree. I ordered a flashlight in december and it was listed as an amazon prime number. It wasn't until after the order I learned it was coming from china. I canceled the order and found another supplier out of california.

i order a ton of stuff off amazon and haven't seen that yet. they tend to be pretty good about messaing when it comes to telling customers about 3rd party sellers. hopefully they'll fix this. sending a complaint couldn't hurt.

Which seller was it? The default sell at the time I clicked your link is "pay4save". But there are multiple sellers, the link below lists all of them and also states where they ship from.

On that page, pay4save is listed as shipping from China.

Impossible. If it listed as amazon prime, then it is already in the Amazon ware house.

Perhaps you bought from a non-prime seller.

The page I bought from was "Oyeah" and didn't specify China, the seller listing page does.

I looked over an item and there was no indication about where it was shipping from.

Obviously amazon doesn't go out of their way to make this obvious - they want you to buy stuff and don't want to show any 'unnecessary' info that might discourage you. Ugh!
