My eye's are tired. I have been reading this for most tot the day and night. So I will catch up with your comments tomorrow. Regardless of what side you are on, this looks like it will get out of hand. Once it does you will only read the Guberment side.

Don't they just shoot trespassers out west? I guess only if you are a person, not a cow.

This guy is a long term anti-gov't law breaking nut job. I hope he gets a grip before somebody gets hurt. He has been given ample time to comply with the law he has been breaking for the past 21 years.

"Bundy is battling with federal officials over his cattle's grazing on 150 square miles of scrub desert overseen by the Bureau of Land Management. He has refused to pay BLM grazing fees since 1993, arguing in court filings that his Mormon ancestors worked the land long before the BLM was formed, giving him rights that predate federal involvement. His back fees exceed $300,000, he says.

Officials say Bundy is illegally running cattle in the 600,000-acre Gold Butte area, habitat of the federally protected desert tortoise. Last year, a federal court judge ruled that if the 68-year-old veteran rancher did not remove his cattle, they could be seized by the BLM. That seizure began Saturday.

Bundy and his supporters remain unbowed."

A very similar case happened in Yosemite in the 19th century - again... people that assume that they have rights (to graze on protected public land) that they do not have.

They note that Bundy lost federal court cases challenging the roundup and that he was ordered by a federal judge last October not to interfere in any roundup.

They interfered... there was trouble... and they took pictures...

nothing to see here...

The desert is quite fragile in some places, and cattle grazing has been a serious problem for a long time. It's been recognized that the surface layer can take decades to form properly, and cattle trample it to destruction. Regulation by the BLM is necessary, but has been fought by people who want to think that we are still in the 18th century.

Faux is playing it up big time. The nasty Feds against an innocent cattle rancher. The militias are massing their forces and heading there to exercise their Second Amendment rights.
