Too bad, kind of hoping the Royals would win out.
Dude, it ain't over.
True, but they still didn't win out (two straight to close the series). Now they'll have to win out, still two wins needed, because they are up against the wall.

I got money on the Giants in 7, though I want the Royals to win it out.

For Game 3, I broke out the white on white cap... didn't work as well as I had hoped.
For Game 4, this shirt (actually mine is in much better shape and a better taken care of version) made it into the light of the living room... worked well.
(notice the orange McCovey jersey... which is more prominent on mine)
White cap was put back on the rack.
For Game 5, added the red cap w/ the oversize white logo to the shirt... MadBum CGS, worked even better.
For Game 6, I'm thinking about adding some more orange flair... not sure whether to go birds/palms/surf, or go w/ the King.
maybe help the guy in the orange Marlins jersey w/ some tropical style... (funny how Larry L'orange pissed off KC, and blended right in in SF... :-) )

Dang Buzz, you stepped all outside of the colors! I love the white cap. I'm a diehard Dodgers fan but I will wear my Black Giants cap. I like the colors.

Couldn't find a pic to snag online, but I also have a Dodger Blue Giants cap w/ white stitching for the seams and around the white "SF" logo... most folks assume it's a Dodgers cap; until they look closer. If the Dodgers had beaten the Cards, that one woulda seen a lot of action in the rivalry series. A green/yellow (A's colors) Angels cap is another one of my faves w/ the reverse rivalry colors. At the end of the LDS's, I had one of my other Angels caps on, and when I walked by three very large men, two of whom were strutting Dodgers logos, one of the Dodgers guys barked at me, "at least we weren't swept...". It took me a couple of steps to connect the dots; remembering I had the Angels hat on, and that they were rockin' the Northern Freeway Series' combatant logo... so I then stated, "I'm actually a die hard Giants fan, so WE were the ones doing the sweeping this year...". Left 'em speechless.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but am enjoying the games (missed Game 4, unfortunately). I'd like to see the Royals take the series, but it's exciting to watch Pablo Sandoval at third and Madison Bumgarner pitch. Last night's game was a masterpiece, and I'm pleased that the Giants' manager let Bumgarner complete the game (it seems there are far fewer complete games than in the old days). I don't understand why, with the leadoff man on first in the 2nd (?) innning, the Royals manager didn't have the next batter bunt and move the runner up. When facing a pitcher like Bumgarner, you've got to scratch for runs any way you can.

I actually love seeing Pablo Sandoval thrive during the World Series because their own fans beat him up during the season so much. But then I always got to remember that when I read bad things about him, it's in the comments after a story in SFGATE.com or ESPN. The normal fan loves him. And he's a helluva defensive third baseman considering his size. I played third some in little league and high school and that's tough.

I wear my Oakland A's cap the most (this is my American League team). I see their games the most. When I have my A's cap on in San Francisco, I get a lot of fist bumps. When I wear the Giants cap it always shocks Giants fans when they assume I'm one by my cap and I tell 'em I was born and raised in L.A., and that I'm a Dodgers fan. I'm sure your blue Giants cap was disturbing. It's very frustrating about their recent successes. It's going to take a lot for the Dodgers to put them back in their places as our perennial doormat. :-) It's all in fun for me. I think its our way to try to enjoy life in the collective and to have some civic pride.
