New iPad Air 2 (16 GB) for $399 at MicroCenter
#1
Apologies if this is already known, but it seemed like a good deal to me. Your choice of colors.

Think you have to buy online, pickup in store.

Edit: last year's iPad Air (32 GB) goes for $330, same deal - order online, pickup in store.

I believe the iPad mini 3 (ie, retina with Touch ID) is $299 for the 16GB.

Pretty nice deals.

16GB is almost not big enough anymore. My mom bought an iPad Air 2 for my dad for christmas and I made her get the 64 GB… Too bad the low end isn't 32GB. Sad

I agree. For us it's definitely not enough. But, I think for the average grandma or something, 16GB is fine.

what the heck does one need more than 16G for on a tab?
My phone is 16G and I have perhaps half used, with days of music.
The avg book seems to be 1M.
A movie a gig or so.

uh oh, maybe I'm a grannie!

Modern apps take up a lot of space these days. And, if you have just a few of those, then 16GB is really not adequate.

I agree that 32GB would have been the sweet spot.

don't have an iPad so dunno how big those apps are as compared to phone apps.
been looking into an iPad for my wife. She just needs it for email and interwebs, mostly.
The occasional Word or Excel type doc. a book, newspaper.

16GB on the iPad air 2 is a crime. That's a fantastic computer. It's like selling a high-end MBPr with 64 GB boot drive...

Retina-compatible apps, in particular.
