All awesome albums. I'm also enjoying her new one, Nostalgia, her take on some great classic standards.
ALL, awesome albums. She's a regular in my mix. Including her Xmas songs.

This is what I read on her birthday, which was a couple of weeks ago:

"There's this youth culture that is really, really powerful and really, really strong, but what it does is it really discards people once they reach a certain age. I actually think that people are so powerful and interesting - women, especially - when they reach my age. We've got so much to say, but popular culture is so reductive that we just talk about whether we've got wrinkles, or whether we've put on weight or lost weight, or whether we've changed our hair style. I just find that so shallow."–Annie Lennox, who turns 60 today

Speaking like a true leader!
I always have a soft spot in my heart for the independent, powerful and authentic women ;-)

Annie hasn't ever released a live acoustic record. She performed with the BBC Orchestra a few years back, but no recording was ever commercially released.

Medusa is an album of covers but god what amazing covers.

This thread got me interested again in her music so I searched Amazon. There is a 2 CD set, "Medusa / Live in Central Park", an import.

I'm a huge Annie Lennox fan (& exactly one week older than she).

Savage, from 1987, is one of my favorite albums. Great music!

Will look into that one. Now, next question: Which vendor will give me the best deal?

Why not order direct? http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss...lias%3Daps&field-keywords=Medusa+%2F+Live+in+Central+Park

I order from Amazon UK all the time. Orders take a little longer to get to me, but not badly so. (FWIW, a lot of Blu-ray releases on Amazon UK are region-free, if you look; I bought the complete BSG for less than half of the US version some time ago.)

You can also take a look at eBay; many copies there: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XMedusa+%2F+Live+in+Central+Park&_nkw=Medusa+%2F+Live+in+Central+Park&_sacat=0

Savage is a great album. I'd never really listened to Eurythmics other than the odd thing on MTV. This album came on a mix tape a friend sent me--not a concept album, but all the songs fit together.
