Safari
#1
Safari has locked up on me and I have to force quit. When I reopen I get the same. Did a disk permission repair but that did not help. I have did the restart and still get a locked up safari when I open the program. I cannot find a plist for safari to discard and don't know how to discard the cache.

Any help would be appreciated.

Launch Safari with the shift key held down. That will suppress re-opening of tabs and windows from the previous session.

You can then open Safari's preferences to turn off extensions, disable plug-ins (Security tab), and enable the Develop menu (Advanced menu). The latter will enable you to empty caches.

Once that's done, I suggest quitting Safari and relaunching it normally. Re-enable plug-ins and test. Do the same with Extensions.

AA has good info to follow.

What OS are you using?

Did you try a different User account to see if Safari mis-behaves there?

Did you restart your Mac?

Have you tried a Safe boot then a normal boot?
