Years ago some rich guy tried to get Stevie Nicks out of "retirement" by offering her a one-time concert offer for a L.A. venue. when no reply came from Stevie's camp, he added a "tour" deal.
One of the guy's "friends" called a local radio station and spilled the beans that all he wanted was to meet her and perhaps propose to her. At least the Ritz guy got a face to face!
