Thanks for posting, Kraniac. Please let me add my condolances to the others here. So glad you were able to step in and help bring some degree of peace to the chaos. I can only hope for the same -- both Mr. Prymsnap and I take care of elderly parents.

Sorry for your loss.

Hospice was a great comfort in my father's last weeks. The focus returns to the person and turns away from the patient.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I have my elderly Pop living with me, and I told him I would try to keep him living at home to the very end. He's 83 and quite chipper, so I may not have to deal with this issue for many more years. I hope I can do as well as you have when that time comes.
