Peyton Manning did not get paid for Bud plug at the end.

During the game the wife commented about the lack of Budweiser commercials. It all made sense in the end where Bud spent their advertising dollars when Manning says he's going to (paraphrasing) hug his family, kiss his wife and "drink a lot of Budweiser tonight". BUT....

Apparently he DID NOT get paid (in the traditional sense) for this apparent advertising. It's illegal for players to advertise for an alcoholic drink on field/during the game. So in Denver, CO, the land of plaid wearing, mountain biking, hipster beard micro breweries. Peyton actually does drink Bud. Who needs all that froo froo flavored beer anyway Wink

Peyton owns two Budweiser distributors in Louisiana, so that could be an angle.
But I'm willing to bet he just likes Bud. As do I.

"DID NOT get paid (in the traditional sense)" and "Peyton owns two Budweiser distributors" pretty much covers it.

Was kind of sad. He didn't need to do that. Spoiled the moment for me.

Gotta pay the bills in retirement. He's invested in five Papa John pizza franchises as well.
Pizza and beer. He invests in what he knows Smile

He did it before two years ago as well! LOL
When the Broncos beat the San Diego Chargers during the playoffs in 2014, in a post-game interview Manning said, “What’s weighing on my mind is how soon I can get a Bud Light in my mouth,”. Bud Light signed a six-year sponsorship deal with the NFL worth $1.2 billion back in 2011.

What annoys me the most is when those football commentators flash $20,000 watches on screen. You know those were comped for screen time (td)

I find it interesting that he violated a league policy but Budweiser has a $200 million dollar a year contract to be the "Official Beer of the NFL" and they run a bunch of beer ads during the game.

Better him than me. Bud is vile, and Bud Lite is worse.
