"I'm telling you, it's hip, it's modern, it's today's fresh look at a stale old tale. Just look what a reboot did for Star Wars!"

Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ
"...a novel by Lew Wallace published by Harper & Brothers on November 12, 1880, and considered "the most influential Christian book of the nineteenth century". It became a best-selling American novel, surpassing Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin (1852) in sales. Ben-Hur remained at the top of the bestseller lists until the publication of Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind (1936)."

You need a different hobby, Steve. Go outside and get some fresh air.

Lew Wallace is also famous for not being able to find the battlefield at Shiloh and arriving kind of late. It sounds weird in an age of paved roads and AAA road maps, but it was a little different back then.

I'm sticking with Heston. Will not view the current Ben Hur. I know, stick in the mud old lady talk.

Wise move. The majority of reviews are that the current version verges on comedy, hence my send-up. It was heralded as a flop months ago. That's when I rounded up the photos and thought about the captions. Finalizing it took just a few minutes. hope you enjoyed it.

Apparently, Wig didn't.
