Is anyone dying to get an iPhone7?
#1
CNBC's Jim Cramer said on Tuesday that the hype around Apple's next generation iPhone is the "least amount" he's seen for a phone unveiling. http://www.cnbc.com/2016/09/06/cramer-kn...nt-it.html

I know, I know - he's a jerk that is only out to up his TV ratings, but I've decided that although I'm due (I've been upgrading with every other release), I'm still very happy with my iphone6 and am not going to buy a 7 when it comes out. Sure, features on newer phone are intriguing, but not necessary to me. The lack of subsidy is a factor too.

If I'm buying a new iphone in the next three months, it will likely be an iP6S. But most likely, I will just continue with my 6. A friend that I talked to that has been on the same cycle says that she too is not going to upgrade to the 7 (fyi, she also is going to NOT replace her 2010 Macbook and will go pure iOS once she leaves the Macbook)

What about you folks? Who can't wait for a new iP7? Who's gonna let it slide?

I've never been less interested in a new iPhone. Just used my Sony noise-cancelling plug-in headphones. Don't need a dongle, don't need a castrated iPhone.

I'm hoping beyond hope that killing the headphone jack will prove to be a terrible idea that will actually get reversed. But I doubt it. Apple really never takes a step backwards.

I might upgrade

... to a used 5s, but likely I'll stay with my 4s another year or two

If I was going to stick with the same size (regular 6), I'd probably skip it, but I'll probably get the 7 Plus since I want to upsize.

My iPhone 3Gs has dementia, it's also painfully slow. I want to upgrade to something. The iPhone SE sounded perfect, but I was too suspicious of the 1/2 year announcement and am hoping for an update tomorrow.

No.

sticking with my 5s for the time being. I haven't seen any reason to upgrade to any of the "6" models, so I'm in no rush to get a 7.

I'll buy one, but my wife and I are on alternating years so we always buy one phone a year.
