To me Apple's hype around their wireless ear pods elevates BS to a whole new level. Whether you own a $10 pair of wireless ear buds or pay $500 for an expensive pair of Bluetooth headphones you are limited by the technology. Despite the magical description of them by Apple they are basically just their regular ear pods with Bluetooth added.

You are free to buy a cheap set of generic Chinese BT headphones on Amazon for $20, or just use the wired buds that come with the phone, or use the adapter to use your favorite wired cans.

Huh? Then you're about to run out of power—put that sucka on the charger! If you must make that last phone call, the iPhone 7 has built-in speakers and wired earphones. Do what you want.

Umm, but my charger goes in the same port at my wired earphones...

How am I going to use the new external battery for my really long train commute and my wired headphones...
