aptX has a lossless codec surprisingly called aptX Lossless:

That does exist (on paper) but won't see usage in a low-bandwidth environment like Bluetooth here.

I will wait to see what Woz say's. He was really ragging about bluetooth audio quality (in general) and the lose of a headphone jack on the new iPhone.

I refuse to listen to music via Bluetooth in our vehicles, it just doesn't sound as good. It's either through the charging cable or flashdrive.
Sounds great to me, maybe I'm just not that particular, or maybe its just the simplicity. "siri play pandora" and away I go.

BT doesn't sound as good as actual audio from a disc or a file on a USB, provided that file is better than 128k mp3 to begin with. The top end artifact in particular is very apparent.
I find the BT can't always support the bandwidth either and I get drop outs.
Course that could be my phone or car.

But since I can load a fat load of music at 320k, m4a (lossless Apple), or FLAC'd, I'd rather have that.
Slowly I've been going back to my CDs and iTunes, and converting (XLD) or ripping to the USB (and microSD of phone) as FLAC or m4a lossless. Need to get a 32G stubby ……..
