#blacklivesmatter made me shoot my wife in the back and kill her

This may be the weirdest "blame the black guy" story yet.

Very prominent white Atlanta attorney says he accidentally shot and killed his (also very prominent) wife from the back seat of their car, which was being chauffeured. He was holding a gun in his lap because he was worried about #blacklivesmatter protests near their home (though no protests were happening at the time and the earlier ones were peaceful.)
Despite his anxiety he somehow fell asleep in the back seat while holding the gun, they hit a bump in the road, and the gun went off.

Oh, he's also on some state commission about gun violence.

I hate to say it, but some of those Faux News watchers are deathly afraid of BLM, because Faux News tells them to be.

I was out at a taco dive with my (older) in-laws one bright and sunny noontime, and a mixed crowd including Blacks came walking down the street. Mostly teens, with a group of some sort (as they were all wearing the same T-shirt). They were happy, playing around, headed somewhere, but when they stopped at the corner of the taco place to wait for the light to cross the street, my FIL pointed and urgently asked, "Uh-oh - is that Black Lives Matter?"

I had to kind of talk him down off the ledge.

Also, the husband's (nick)name was "Tex", as in "Nice shootin, Tex!"

The McIvers retrieved their gun — a .38 snub-nose revolver — from the center console of the 2013 Ford Expedition, alarmed about recent unrest surrounding several Black Lives Matter protests in the area and fearing a carjacking...

But several blocks later on Piedmont Ave. near the park, the SUV hit a bump and the gun fired. [A family friend] said McIver does not remember firing the gun. He was leaning back in the seat and nodding off when they hit the bump, the gun in his lap, Crane said.

So, you think you're about to be carjacked and are fearful enough to go for your gun. And "several blocks later", you're nodding off?

That's weird. Just sayin.

Coroner has ruled it a homicide but no charges yet. The driver was the wife's best friend - they also drove several miles past the nearest hospitals, while the wife was still alive, before finally taking her to an ER where she died. Very weird.

Yeah, billb was trying to tell us the lawyer that popped a bolt and went on a shooting spree last week was obviously an "Obamavoter" until it came out that besides being an angry midlle-aged loser white guy, he was also wearing a Nazi uniform when he went on his spree.

Somehow I think a guy who tools around in a Ford Expedition with a 38 snub nose in the center console (and shoots his wife by "accident") is not likely a "limousine liberal".

Tex McIver is a conservative Republican who has among his clients Georgia's governor and employers fighting unions. He has deep ties to Republican politics in the state, including infamous enforcement, as a member of the State Elections Board, of the state's (unconstitutional and very racist) voter ID law.
