This app is no longer shared with you

What the fuck is this shit!!!

All of a sudden (as in TODAY) the wife's iPhone 6 is getting this message everytime she tries to go to an app. I've logged her and back in again. I've taken her out of family sharing and added her back. I've combed through a page on Apple's site where many others have this same issue and there was no resolution.

Any ideas? Aside from restoring the fucking thing.

OMG. This is so annoying. If I click to buy the app, it takes me the app store where it simply says "Open". Then I open it and I get the damn error again. So then I tried deleting the app and now when I got to the app store it wants me to pay again! Even though the app clearly states that up to 6 people can share this app. And there's only three of us.

Fuck Apple.

Have you done a hard restart on the phone?
Probably won’t cure it, but that’s the only thing I can think of.
Also, is her phone on the latest version of the iOS?

Is it a particular app, or all of them?

...So, you *should* have the app available to her via family-sharing. No problem with the same app on your own phone?

...For whatever reason, the DRM mechanism has decided that your wife's Apple ID isn't authorized for the app. So, use one of your own device-authorizations to get the app and authorize the other apps.

Sign out from the App Store.

Then sign in under your own Apple ID.

Then download the app again. (Should be free.)

Then sign out from the store again and sign in under your wife's Apple ID.

I feel your pain. Really I do. I just didn't take very good notes and drank myself into a stupor upon completion.

I found a solution that involved turning things on and off and logging in and out and deleting and reinstalling apps. And do you know where I found the solution that actually worked? In a post on an Apple Discussion board...from 2014!!! So basically this problem has been going for four years with no fix. Sweet.

There are many solutions offered up in these 8 pages of replies but this is the one that worked for me.
