How to record video from iPhone (YouTube, say) to VHS?
#1
I have a cord that lets me play videos from my iPhone 4S to my CRT TV via 30-pin connector to red/white/yellow RCA jacks. That works fine. I assumed that plugging in the RCA jacks to my VCR would allow me to record to VHS tape, but it doesn't. There is something new on the tape where it was "records" but it's just a noisy sound with a gray background and random white lines moving around. I saw nothing on google or YouTube telling how to do this.

Some VCRs require you to select your inputs in a menu. You could test with another video source.

I don't have a remote for the VCR.

Check around on the VCR. Sometimes controls are hidden behind a little door.

Or check online for a manual.

If you have an old universal remote gathering dust in a drawer, you could probably resuscitate it for this job.
