You're right about this. They all seem to want to drive on the wrong side of the road. But they have free trolley rides in the downtown area of Melbourne.

Driving on the left, sure. Right handed drive, easy peasy. Trolleys, um, no worries. Then you get to this:

21+ hours for me with a one hour stop in LAX. (BOS ->SYD)
( a 4 hour layover in LAX is $765 today, which is about $300-500 off on AA )

18 hour non-stop from NJ to Singapore is the only flight I've binge watched movies.
watch movie, read book. watch movie, read book. wqtch movie, read book. LOL
I almost never sleep on a plane and even when for a brief few minutes, it's not sleep

Yep, that was about what our flight was like (ATL>SFO>SYD) last year. Very very very long ride. Worth the trip, but I'm not anxious to spend that much time on an airplane again.

It's alcohol treatment barnaclebill - swill in it and do the recovery once (if) you land.

When we flew back from Melbourne we had a three hour ground delay because a passenger had a medical issue. We were next to take-off when it happened so we stayed in the plane but returned to the gate. Had we taken off, we would have returned meaning an even longer trip. I walked around on the big jet - a lot. And I stood wherever I could - a lot, too.

I don't sleep in planes, either, so long flights are brutal, can't imagine more than 12 hours.
