Kept getting a stare from some dude in a yellow worker's vest in a store today, and I honestly didn't think much of it. Finally, I looked at him and he was wearing a big Trump baseball cap. Maybe he he was desperate to believe it is all going so well, and really wanting me to notice him.

How did he know you weren't a Trump supporter? You weren't drooling?

I agree, bill. Everything is going Just Great!

(In a side note, I had a conversation with a rightist lifelong acquaintance today. The actual conversation isn't that important. What's notable is I had to say periodically, "But Obama isn't president any more". Didn't faze him in the least.)

Similar conversations, with modest differences: "Hillary's email isn't at issue" and "I don't think that immigrants are the source of Flynns problem." (BTW: Several conversations with republicans of various intellectual capacity and not one uses the phrase "illegal immigrants." The problem is always "immigrants.")

Once you challenge them in the country's origins, they will break into the, "it's only the illegals that are the problem here." But, yes, the distinction is telling.
