How about, "Why are you supposedly outraged at something only black players had been doing?"
This is pure white supremacy play by Trumpo.

Congrats, Trump. You just went and broke the brains of a bunch of your followers, who are also NFL fans and have been rooting for those large men for years.
And well done NFL commish.. "The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture. There is no better example than the amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural disasters we've experienced over the last month. Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities." https://nflcommunications.com/Pages/Stat...odell.aspx

Donald Trump in another tweet this morning: "It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. NFL must respect this!" So he wants the owners to force the players to have respect for the flag and anthem by threatening to fire the players if they don't stand for the anthem. And if the owners won't do it now, then he is telling fans to hurt the owners financially enough that it will force them into forcing the players to stand for the anthem.
One weird thing about this is that making a player stand for the anthem or you'll take away their job will not make them respect the flag or anthem (actually it probably induces them to have less respect). You can't force someone to have respect for something. You can force them to mimic the behavior of having respect (IOW, force them into a sham exhibition), though, and that 's what this is about - forcing players to mimic the behavior of having respect for the flag and anthem. I guess that's what a lot of people in "the land of the free" think is the only good and right thing to do.

Ted- Well put. And extending the thought, the "Pledge of Allegiance" in US public schools has always been about indoctrination, and not about respect.
I treat the flag as a symbol of the people that fought for this country and its constitution. The flag is merely a rallying symbol, not a 'god' that needs to be protected.

NASCAR attendance and ratings are down too, much more than the NFL. How does Trump explain that?

Oh yeah, they don't think it is valid. But not believing that the actions are based on actual injustices does not imply that it is okay to force someone to mimic behavior as though they respect something they don't respect. That's just a stupid, selfish thing to do.

Well, he's lost NASCAR now:
