What's the best/easiest way to share photos?
#1
My cousin asked me for family photos and I'm wondering what's the best way to share them with her over the internet. Let's assume it's 100-200 photos, some of them quite large (because I scanned them that way), but she'll probably just want "print quality." She does almost everything with her iPhone, but I don't think she has a Mac computer. I'd also like to type a quick caption, but don't want to spend a lot of time on the project. Drag and drop. I have the photos in Photos.
What should I do?

I just did this with a cousin. I had about 100 family pictures of our common family. I copied them to a 32(?) gig thumb drive. (Not sure of the size) I mailed them to her. I reformatted the thumb drive FAT, I wasn't sure what computer she used.

Cost a bit but time is worth something.

Funny thing, she was really anxious to get them (we are friends on FB). After I sent them, she never responded so I finally ask if she got them. She said she got them but had been very busy, posting on FB I guess. :RollingEyesSmiley5:

Anyway I shared them with her.

My impression is every "photo" site for long term storage has either started charging or closed.

Will they fit on a DVD? 4.1 GB. I have a couple that are 15-20 years old that have gone bad.

Have been using these guys http://www.fototime.com for a number of years now. Yes it does cost depending on the number of gigs you want. I'm at 8gb ($24) and have plenty of room. Then again I only put small images there - 300-500kb. Have had no issues or downtime with them. Folks can visit and copy the photos from there.

I also have a flckr account which is limited as I haven't paid for anything bigger. I have close to 200 of the smaller images there. Need to check in with them for size & price on what they offer.

Flickr is a great option. They give you 1TB of storage for free.

I have used my google drive for sharing photos, but not super large files.
There is the Google drive app, too, so they are easily accessible from an iOS device

I've been fairly happy with Google Photos.

Flickr is also very good for posting large, high quality photos.
