I keep getting political stuff from one conservative. I can’t unsubscribe. The button for that comes up “Safari can’t locate server”

Depending on email program & ISP, you may have the option to block the offender .

If you sent them money (or someone that might have been in a similar category), they might take you off their list for a few months. Then six months later, they put you back on it because they have you identified as a likely mark from someone else's deep tracking political database.

I gave up trying to unsubscribe from political email lists. I tried using Mail rules but these groups are devious. In the end I installed SpamSieve which solved the problem. https://c-command.com/spamsieve/

If you can't forward that email to your gmail account and then declare it Junk, then write a. rule for your Mac Mail account to declare it Junk and move it to Trash. This won't stop you from receiving it, but you will never have to see it.
