Term limits ? For Teflon Don
#1
How surprised would you be if 45 was voted NO TERM LIMITS? It would not surprise me in he least. America has lost control of government. We can talk about the sleaze and malfeasance but nothing Stops it.

Amending the constitution is very very hard. By design. Ain’t gonna happen.

Straight as an arrow
Defect defect
Not straight, not so straight
Reject reject
Towards anti-social
Standing on the stairs
Cold, cold morning
Ghostly image of fear
Mayday mayday
Gonna leave this region
They'll take me with them

I can honestly say that if our country loses its collective mind and votes for him to have more than the Constitutionally mandated current term, I will leave the US. The Canadian border is not that far away, and those living in MN are already acclimated to the physical cold climate found in most places up north.

If Trump wins a second term, both Mexico and Canada will build border walls and happily pay for them.

There was a member with an Asian moniker that used to post haiku poetry. Wonder where he is now.

It takes a lot (as noted) to get rid of an Amendment, or create one. I'm still surprised the 22nd occurred since FDR (whose presidency caused it) wasn't actually horrible by any rational measure. But given that "the people" don't directly vote for amendments it's fair to say that enough Congressmen from both sides were tired or bored enough to keep things fresher going forward.

I'd be good with one that limits the damage to one term. I used to think 6 years would be decent but lately ... not so much.

As for stopping it, that's really about timing and being patient.
