I have an original iPhone X (not XS) that I just finished paying off (iPhone Upgrade Program - $56/month for 2 years...just got the emails from Citizen and Apple this morning that my loan is closed - yay)
I like the X and didn't feel compelled to upgrade to the XS or even the 11 Pro, but always felt that it was a bit large
I happened to find a decent deal for an SE on Swappa so bought it, mainly to just try out if I would be fine going back to the smaller form factor and to keep as a spare in case anyone in our family has to be without their primary phone for any period of time
Anyway, I've enjoyed playing around with the SE form factor after all these years of having a bigger phone
One thing I really love is the swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reach Control Center
I guess I just got used to the awkward reach on the X for Control Center but now that I've re-visited it on the SE, I realize how much better I like not having to stretch out my finger or thumb (or having to do it two-handed)
I also like how light the SE is - I feel like I'm not carrying anything at all
However, I guess I didn't anticipate how much slower it would be compared to my X, and my X is not even that fast anymore, considering it's 2 processor generations behind compared to the 11 Pro
Anyway, I'm a fan of the SE so was not happy to hear the rumors that if an "SE 2" comes out, it will be the size/weight of the current iPhone 8 :-(
